Simple but dull summit.
Short Summary created by Colin Murphy  12 Apr 2019
Usually done on the way to Djouce but can easily be completed in isolation. Parking at car park overlooking Lough Tay at O169 075 starA. Proceed up the forest track NE for about 500m. You will then have to turn east for a few hundred metres across cut down forest to go around trees. Turning north again you should meet up with the Djouce boardwalk which will take you all the way to this very nondescript summit, marked only by a solitary metal pole and some whitish rocks that probably give the hill its name. 45 minutes from car to top. A filmic location

Although White Hill is as dull as ditchwater (and there's plenty of that to be found around there), it does have the merit that as one ascends or descends, it affords magnificent views of Lough Tay, which has doubled as 16th century England in The Tudors, a fjord in Vikings and was overlooked by Camelot in Excalibur!
