Descent: 1205m

Places: Start at NY2322124236, Grisedale Pike, Hobcarton Crag [Hobcarton Head], Crag Hill [Eel Crag], Sail, Outerside, Stile End, Barrow, end at Start

Classic Coledale taking in 5 Wainwrights - Grisedale Pike, Crag Hill, Sail, Outerside and Barrow. I was able to walk directly from my Braithwaite B&B which added a couple of klicks, but nice not to have to drive....
This round can be extended any number of ways to take in further Wainwrights, some of which are quite close to the track. The problem with this is that it then interferes with other circuits and potentially leaves 'orphans' which will need to be picked up again. Planning is key to make sure you have to do as few up and downs as possible..

COMMENTS

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 21m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
