Park at Ballaghbeama Gap, V75460 78103 starA, room for 4 cars next to the map of the Glencar area.
Head north uphill over horizontal rock shelfs to the summit of Knockaunattin West. Turn east and drop down to the col passing some minor lakes then ascend on grassy slopes to the summit of Knockaunattin.
From the summit drop down again into a rocky col to the east and up a grassy slope passing rock outcrops to the summit high above Loch Na Maoile.
Watch out for strands of rusty wire in the grass which could trip you up on the last steep section near the summit. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/169/comment/4929/

We climbed this peak on our way up Stumpa Duloigh from Ballaghbeama Gap. It took about 2.5 hours to climb (ex. breaks) on a hot day. The last 150 meters or so from the west are very steep. Great views to Carrauntoohil and the Reeks to the north. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/169/comment/1828/
