Wonderful Carn with superlative views
Short Summary created by Colin Murphy  12 Jun 2023
Parking for 4/5 cars at V59312 65108 starA, opposite a stile leading to Kerry Way. Follow Kerry War SSW for 2km up to Windy Gap at V58669 63244 starB. Track steep in parts and disappears at times but is fairly well waymarked. Turn directly east up over grassy/rocky terrain for about 800m to reach Staigue. Fantastic panoramas from summit, with Isknagahiny Lough and Lough Currane visible to the NW and the entire length of Kenmare Bay to the south. Allow about 90 minutes car to summit.
