[RWD version 1 ]
Route over Eagles Hill and Mullaghbeg starting from parking at Coad V57503 60609 (Thanks Mel!). The route is that outlined by Colin Murphy on the hill pages and uses the Kerry Way north before heading uphill to Eagles Hill. There is a significant detour back south to avoid the low ground around Gortnamackanee before heading north west to Mullaghbeg.
There is a very substantial network of bog roads south of Mullaghbeg which would give useful possibilities, either for a direct approach to Mullaghbeg, or for a return to Caherdaniel, should you have set out from there. This track makes use of an eastwards track in this area (indicated on OS), to head back to the Kerry Way and the car.
