Summary
for Knocknaveacal North Top :
Zig zagging around giant walls of stone
Summary created by Colin Murphy
22 Jun, 2015
The simplest approach to this Arderin Beg is from the north. There is room for several cars to park at Cash SC (V755 578), on the Beara Way. Continue along the track through the woods for about 500m to A (V750 576), where you can access the open hillside. The ascent to the SSW is gentle at first but becomes increasingly steep, although the terrain is firm - mostly short grass and rocks. You will have to negotiate around many impressive, giant slabs of rock as you ascend. The top is a quite distinct outcrop of rock. 2 hours climb from car in mostly good conditions.
