Worth A Soaking
by Aidy  1 Aug 2016
We had great weather on a weeks holiday in West Cork, apart from the one day I had set aside for hill walking! It had lashed with rain, with no views whatsoever as I took in Coombane, Derryclancy and Hungry Hill. It was bad enough to make me wonder what I was doing. And then, on the way back as I returned over Derryclancy and Coombane, the cloud lifted, the rain stopped, and the sun broke through in patches, illuminating the amazing landscape in this part of the world, and I remembered why we go hill walking. Sometimes, the sights we get to see are worth any hardship. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1478/comment/18602/
