Access to this hill is via the farm track at F6236419568 star

A crossing private farm land to the summit at F6291119350 star

B but access is not a problem. Although this hill is low in height and the summit area is marked by the ruins of an old Irish Army observation post from the 1940's it overlooks the Weather Station where the weather forecast was sent to Allied Command on 4th June 1944 resulting in the successful landings in Normandy.This area is well worth a visit not for the hill but for the beauty of Blacksod and the fantastic views especially of Achill .
