Track Rating ..
[RWD version 1 ] The Deepdale Circuit is a 17k horseshoe which, like the more well known Fairfield Circuit, culminates in Fairfield Mountain at 873m. Less popular than Fairfield, it is less groomed by countless feet, with, in some places, no unambiguous track.

The round contains 6 Wainwrights. 2 of which, Fairfield and Hart Crag, I had already climbed. There was snow above 750m which had lain for a while and was, as a result, as hard as ice. This combined with brutal wind made the going very challenging. I reached St. Sunday Crag, went on a bit to look at the approach to Cofa Pike and Fairfield, turned on my heel and retreated the way I had come.

3 Wainwrights ticked, Arnison Crag, Birks and St. Sunday Cragl the intended 4th, Hartsop above How can wait for another day.
