Short steep climb

Drive north of LLithfaen along narrow lane until you reach Small Car park. Take the stone track that runs all the way to the col between the two Yr Eifls. Take track towards summit which stops before you reach the top and a short not so easy scramble follows. The summit is marked by two cairns and has some wonderful views Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/B7497/comment/21959/

Erris Head loop follows waymarked arrows from the Wild Atlantic Way sign at the car park. The loop will eventually take you to thetrig point at the summit towards the latter half of the walk....

I started from a similar location mentioned by sandman but didn't use any tracks. I hoped a fence and headed North until I reached the summit. Lovey early morning views of the North Mayo coast.
