Coastal Hill

Parking in the small car park at Gort Mór (L92721 38700) which is the normal start point for those who wish to visit Knockadav and on to Shannovara this trail been part of the Connemara Way Unfortunately for the persons wishing to visit this hill the public trail veers left after a few hundred meters where you are confronted with a large gate. No signs exist forbidding access and you can easily get thru the fence to the left of the gate presently. Follow the track up to where it starts to descend turning right picking your steps to the unmarked summit with reasonable views. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/5030/comment/19537/
