Central Glenbeigh Horseshoe - 3 lakes and 4 peaks
Length: 15.9km, Creator time taken: 6h45m, Ascent: 821m,

Places: Start at V6222687143, Keamconneragh, Coomacarrea, Teeromoyle Mountain, Mullaghnarakill, Been Hill, end at Start

The fun of this route is in the ascent and descent rather than the summits, which are uninspiring. But the ascent via Coomreagh gives excellent views of Coomaglaslaw Lake and then reveals the spectacular scenery obove Coomasaharn Lake. There's an interesting geological feature visible from the Coomreach ridge called Leam-a-Saggarth (the Priest's Leap) on the OSI map which PDT gives as Drom an Bháid in local use.
We stayed outside the wire fence, thus skirting Teeromoyle on the ascent, to reach the summit of Coomacarrea. Then back to pick off the summits of Teeromoyle, Mullaghnarakill, and Been Hill, guided by a wire fence for much of the route in deteriorating visibility.
The descent is via Coomnacronia Lake, with an interesting rocky river bed at its exit. There is a water treatment facility which provides a roadway at the end of the walk.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 33m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
