A place to enjoy - with care

Forewarned is forearmed, so being aware of the dangers at point 776 and the tragedies of the past should be sufficient to ensure you prudently take safe passage to the west of this beautiful but potentially fatal viewpoint. As others have commented - this may not be as grossly apparent if approaching from the south, whereas from the north it is very clear that a direct line is far too steep and a well worn track can be seen heading around to the west.

Incidentally, if I'm not mistaken, there is another plaque on Strickeen commemorating John Lucey. Can anyone confirm? Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/55/comment/19940/
