jgfitz: Track 3672 in area near Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Glen o' the Downs Wood
Length: 5.9km, Creator time taken: 1h57m, Ascent: 183m, Descent: 170m
Places:Start at O2588311451, end at Start Logged as completed by 2
This woodland track can be accessed directly from N11 heading South. After Exit 9, there is a road sign for Glen o' the Downs, and then a brown sign for parking 500 m ahead. This is the entrance, but slow down well before the entrance to avoid being rear-ended; the entrance doesn't reveal itself until the last moment. There is an alternative entrance from Ballydonagh Lane at O 262 123, accessed from Exit 9 on N11. The track offers an excellent view of the Sugarloaf at the Ballydonagh Lane entrance. It also offers an excellent view of Glen o' the Downs from the ruins of the panoramic dining room of the La Touche family residence at O 262 115.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 29m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
