Track Rating ..
[RWD version 1 ] This is a (relatively) simple but unexciting climb partly up a windfarm track with just 65m ascent. There is parking for multiple cars at the start point. You are then faced with a high (1.5m), locked gate bearing warning signs informing you that CCTV is watching you.

Welcome to Mount Eagle
It is possible to get around the gate and fencing to the right side, but probably involves getting your feet very wet, so I decided to clamber over the gate with some difficulty. Walked up forest track for 500m, taking the second right turn. There is a new plantation on left so no access there. Just past the wind turbine is a bank, which leads on to a grassy/muddy trail of sorts up the hillside, parallel to a barbed wire fence. I got as much height from this ‘trail’ as possible before crossing fence and setting off SW for 400m across the heather-covered hillside, ground very uneven.

The dull bump from the NE, trig just visible left of centre.
Bit of a slog, but been in worse. Eventually followed an electrified wire to the summit trig. Curiously the trig pillar is surrounded by the electric fence, and next to it is an empty blue plastic drum and a plastic, padlocked rubbish bin! Anyway, rolled under fence to reach trig and returned the same way.

Summit trig and curious accoutrements.
Up and down is less than an hour, but highly unexciting, the name belying the dull reality. Mount Sparrow would be more appropriate.
