Track Rating ..
[RWD version 1 ] The route starts from the Tibradden Forest Recreation area car park where the Zipit zipwire facilities are. There is a lot of parking here, but there again it is near Dublin so it can fill up.

The intention was to find a more interesting route around where possible. The day turned out to be wet and windy so there aren't pictures.

The walk starts by heading north then east out of the car park toward "Tib Ln", another public entrance to the wood. From there head about 500m up hill through a mostly fairly open forest. You can see a point there where we turned left (east). Unfortunately as of winter 2024 there is some felling around here that makes the path we followed extremely mucky. To avoid some of this, it may be possible to use a ride heading south from near the turning point.
We persevered through the muck which was possible using verges etc. Should be much better in summer or in hard frost. We then went up a ride which allowed us to reach the summit of Tibradden.

The route up forestry and hence to Glendoo is reasonably well known with all segments being shown in a number of other tracks on MV. The way towards Glendoo is extremely wet underfoot. Returning from Glendoo it is a question of choosing correct paths until a forest road is found, seen on the map as the track's most westerly point.

Carefully follow the track and branch off it exactly as shown towards the "Glendoo Brook", describe on EastWest maps as "Cruagh Brook" which is usually crossable. Head across this and reach the start of well trafficked tracks and forest roads to return to the start.
