The Blue Eye in Southern Albania is a water spring and initial source of the Bistricë River, which flows into the Ionian Seat.
The source is a karst hole – a natural phenomenon with a depth of at least 50 meters, the deepest any diver has been able to go, but the actual depth is unknown.
The depth of the clear water reflecting the sky overhead makes the water appear particularly blue. Seeing it involves a pretty easy 2km walk mostly along a paved path and with little in the way of climbing.
