Started about 500m south of Priest’s Leap car park, where there is room for one car to park either side of the road.

The start is at about 425m, so you have less than 50m ascent. Crossed the fence and proceeded up the mostly gently rising slop, grass for the most part, a few boulders and outcrops. Saw a fence about 1km north of top and basically followed that most of the way.

The views to the east over the valley are tremendous, as are they at the summit, which is marked by a large rocky outcrop overlooking the sweeping sight of Bantry Bay to the south. Returned a bit more to the west of my original route and found a gate that took me back to the road, from where I had about 300m to cover back to the car, but a very enjoyable 300m with the evening light warming the valley below.
