After quick ascents of Knockanoughanish and Knockatee (already tracked by Simon so no need for me to repeat that info) I finished a quick morning’s summiteering with a brief ‘climb’ up the coastal summit of Beakeen.
I parked as per Fergal’s notes: be sure to go over the correct gate to be to the left of the wall/fence/bank, as the next one to the right has a ‘No Dogs, Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted’ sign. I went to the end of the field (slightly tacky underfoot initially but improving) before making the mistake of climbing over the facing fence to get on its far side for the final ascent; this meant I had to reclimb it when I discovered the cairn was actually on its near side. That this was an error was emphasised when just as I was carefully straddling the barbed wire in order to gain the summit, a horsefly chose to ravenously clamp itself onto my eyelid. Cue a bizarrely controlled and calm flappy arm waving panic.
So, at the end of the field just climb the fence on your left is what I’m saying.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 0h 28m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
