[RWD version 1 ] On a recent visit to the Kilbride circuit on a very dull day in the company of Onzy, we were treated to views of Butter Mt when the clouds lifted, viewed from Seefin Butter Mt looks impressive. In July 2022, I went in search of a route to the top, this Mountain is surrounded on most sides by heavy duty no trespassing signs and overlooks Butter Mt golf club. One section of it is devoid of any signs and has a farm track that leads through two fields and yields a way to the top. Apologies for my track , I was so engrossed in finding a suitable way to the top that I forgot to turn on my GPS device until I was at the Summit, my route down was exactly the same as upward route. The summit area is fairly non descript with small remnants some sort of mound of stones. Views towards the Mountains overlooking Kilbride are nice from Butter Mountain.
