Broadly following Trailtrekker's walk description on hill page.
I had been on the hill only once before and took the short route up. That wasn't a good day, wet and muddy, and i hadn't really planned to return. A friend interested in the history of the place dragged me up today, and i didn't regret it. Great day out.
