[RWD version 1 ]
This is a variation on a simple route up Djouce Mountain in Wicklow from the Ballinastoe carpark. It researches ways of avoiding some of the bored walk up White Hill.
Mystical or at least misty coastal features.
This view of the coastline to the NE of Djouce presented itself. From the left there's Lambay, Howth and Killiney Hill with the strip of white houses that is Sorrento Terrace to the right of the picture.
The misty outline of the central Wicklow highlands from the top of Djouce.
The return from Djouce involves dropping east on the track to the Wicklow Way, then at a judicious point heading left along an old green road that eventually leads to a very messy but doable river crossing and then back to the Ballinastoe Wood.
