Route from Alto de Chorillo acrioss the northwest face of Mulahacen to Puntal de Sieta Lagunas. The route used the Vasar de Mulahacen, a ledge which crosses the north west face at an altitude of 3,150m, before gaining the summit. The Vasar is the highlight of the route, narrow and exposed in parts, but really, despite its reputation, just a little care needs to be taken. After the Vasar, the summit of Siete Lagunes itself was a bit of a let down, however, it does represent the halfway point of our attempt to summit all 3,000m peaks in Sierra Nevada - now at 15/30. For the return we parted ways; eamonoc taking in Mulahacen for a second time, which involved a very seriously steep scree slope, while I, not having the legs for it, recrossed the Vasar east to west.
