[RWD version 1 ] On a good weather day started at nearby Monument, headed uphill through a few rough fields churned up by cattle, headed towards Toreen first and then back towards Canuig Mountain, the going between these two hills was fairly tough, picked up an uphill track which made the steep uphill climb to Canuig a bit easier, from Canuig it`s a straightforward walk alongside a fence towards Bolus, trig point here with great views in all directions. Bolus SW top is nxt objective down a steep slope to a col followed by a short climb the ruins of the old look out post, eyes will be drawn to the Skelligs from here. Retraced steps to col and headed down a zig zag path with signage for the Bolus Head loop walk and back towards start point.
