Head SE along good forest tracks that allow you to gain elevation gradually and take you to about 370m elevation, before a short climb along the Darragh Hills trail to the summit, which has fine views in all directions.
The Galtees from the forest track.
Head SE along the forest track for about 1km before the track starts to curve back for another 1km in a south then a westerely direction. This eventually leads on to the narrower Darragh Hills trail that can be muddy in winter.
Darragh Hills Trail
The trail turns north now and after about 80m there is an offshoot to the left, which leads directly to the summit, which is marked by a trig pillar that appears to have sunk. Return to the trail and continue north down a more direct but steeper trail that swings back into the woods after about 600m eventually leading you back to the original forest track at about 100m from start point. A total of 4km in all.
Good views all round from the summit.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 17m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
