Places:Start at V6690471273, Cnoc na gCáinte (mullach thiar), Knocknagantee Near West Top, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
Start next to farm buildings (parking for several cars) and follow well-established track up towards Knocknagantee.
The view from the point where you depart the track.
Great views down the valley towards Dromtine Lough and beyond. Leave track around 490m and head NW up the grassy slope to col between Knocknagantee and its West Top, picking up another very narrow trail heading E-W. Continue west (over large bump) for about 1.5km.
Looking into the valley toward the north
Spectacular views in all directions, but in particular towards the lough-dotted glen to the north. The summit area is a high, grassy mound about 120m long, and the high point is near the eastern end, marked by a rock and a post.
Lough Dhoire Lanna coming into view on left, summit on right.
It is also worth visiting the western end to enjoy the views of Lough Dhoire Lanna and the coastline in the distance. Allow 3-3.5 hours for return journey.
High point marker, looking east.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 3h 12m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
