There is parking for a couple of cars at the end of the narrow remote road at V82637 59648. Go through the gate on the bridge and go left off the farm track, crossing a field and a fence before rejoining the track for a while.

This soon peters out and you are crossing mostly grassy terrain in a SE driection, but slope not too steep. As you ascend, rocky outcrops begin to appear.

Turn directly south for about 1km towards Cummeenbaun, the landscape becoming increasingly rugged. From the slopes of Cummeenbaun there are tremendous views of almost the entirety of Kenmare Bay.

From the summit Droppa's distince shape is visible about 850m to the east. It is a short walk over mostly grassy land with a gentle climb to the high point, which is an elevated grassy mound. Tremendous views over the Glentrasna Valley. 2.5 hours up and down.
