This trek was done on the spur of the moment in order to tick off another Arderin. While the summit is nothing to write home about, the views from there are really enjoyable providing the weather allows a clear view down the valley. It is worth having a read of the comments on this summit page! .
It is easy to get to the parking places at the start and the walk in is not difficult. However, it is now tricky to find a clear and relatively easy track up through the clear felled area. The summit itself is nondescript and diffcult to locate without the use of a GPS device.
It is unlikely you would come up here just for the summit other than to bag it. It is however in an area with other wonderful walk options.
