march-fixer: Track 4605 in area near Wicklow (Ireland)
Mullaghcleevaun Circuit
Length: 15.5km, Creator time taken: 4h24m, Ascent: 627m, Descent: 638m
Places:Start at O04735 10976, Mullaghcleevaun East Top, Mullaghcleevaun, end at Start Logged as completed by 2
As part of a nice summer Sunday jaunt we decided to head for the two Mullaghcleevauns. We parked just below the carpark at Ballynultagh Gap and headed down the rough track onto the extraction road. We followed this road all the way south until the road turns south west. There is a break in the trees here where you can head straight up to the edge of Cleevaun Lough. From here you must contour slightly up in order to reach Mullaghcleevaun East top. The views here are wonderful. Head back west along the ridge and up over Mullaghcleevaun itself. From the top head towards Black Hill but before starting to climb veer north to pick up a rough track on the eastern slope of black Hill. Continue all the way back to the track leading back down to the carpark and then head down east and back to the start point.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 8m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
