[RWD version 1 ]
This particular variation starts from the Fernhill carpark. This has been recently opened and is well positioned for Dublin Mtns walks. The carpark was around half full by 9:30 am on a weekday. I would expect a major problem with using it will be popularity. The route took in the rough largely untracked land of Ballybrack midway between Fairy Castle/ Two Rock and the Ballybrack Road which goes to Glencullen. While perfectly feasible, the first km or so is over land that in winter at least is extremely wet. The walk went past the GAP for the morning coffee and back via the "Paddocks" route to Barnacullia.
