David-Guenot: Track 4183 in area near Glencappul Top, Mangerton (Ireland)
Mangerton Mega Loop
Length: 38.2km, Creator time taken: 10h57m, Ascent: 1631m, Descent: 1570m
Places:Start at V96699 84228, Glencappul Top, Mangerton North Top, Mangerton, Stoompa, Stoompa East Top, Dromderalough NE Top, Dromderalough, Dromderalough NW Top, Knockbrack, Knockrower, Shaking Rock, end at V96212 83359 996m SW from Start Logged as completed by 1
A peak-bagger's route over Mangerton and its satellites. Horrendous terrain on the way down Shaking Rock to the Kerry Way, so don't follow that part of the route. I reckon best would be to retrace one's steps to the col with Knockrower and stay above the 300m contour along the ridge NE of my route as to avoid dropping down into the valley.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 10h 22m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
