Vinegar Hill - A Casual Stroll

We did Vinegar Hill as part of a 3 summit outing. First we did Carrigroe Hill, then this summit followed by Oulart Hill which was probably the most interesting summit of the day.
Vinegar Hill certainly isn't difficult but on a clear day will provide you with some pleasant views. From the rocky outcrop of a summit we could see both Carrigroe and Oulart Hills. The view over Ennisscorthy isn't exactly amazing but the small loop walk is easy and accessible for all. Parking is also abundant. If passing through Ennisscorthy pop on up to the summit - I personally wouldn't make a trip just for this minor summit. There is however plenty of history around the summit and area and for the history buffs worthy of a stop while on route to Oulart Hill.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 0h 31m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
