Left our lovely campsite and made our way along the Arun Madi gorge. The track was reasonably good but busy with locals and mule trains.

We had to switch side of the river as the slopes necessitated. A lot of the time it was possible to walk on the river gravel and sand. It is interesting to see the mule trains meander along without any herding since they know the route well and only needing a mule driver at the rere to keep an eye on progress.
It was a culture shock entering a busy Tumlingtar outskirts after so long in the wilderness. The children were not as polite and just wanted sweets or gifts or anything available.

We finally reached our hotel and got settled in. We had pre arranged among ourselves that we would have a lottery at the end of all our spare clothes and gear. We gathered everything out in the garden and divided the lot into as many piles as there were support staff. We then wrote out numbered tickets to correspond with each pile of "goodies" and the staff dipped in to see which pile they has selected. There was great fun and enjoyment all round. They were a very well selected group of very friendly and hard working staff which we were very sad to leave.
