I could be accused of always being on the lookout for ways to do established walks that little bit different; or adding a twist to them. Go that bit further than you’ve gone before in terms of distance.
The ranges at your back door are easier to manage as you’d have a better idea on the logistics; particularly if you’re on your own.
What time will you start? How long do you think it will take? Where do you want to be when it’s dark? Water? Food? Change of footwear? Which one of your walking buddies is going to pick you up at half five of a Saturday morning and ferry you back to your car?
A great learning process. Just go out and do it, make the mistakes, and learn from them.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 19h 35m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
