There is a car park within the forest at Devil's Glen, but I would recommend leaving the car at the small car park at the entrance. Walk from there through the woods to the cascading Vartry River at the Devil's Glen waterfall, reputedly a favourite place of the poet, Seamus Heaney. Indeed, there is a Seamus Heaney walk that can be taken within these woods, with quotes from Heaney poems inscribed on various wooden benches and other objects. There are also "Sculptures in Woodland" exhibits. Together, these make for a most interesting hike. The waterfall is especially spectacular after heavy rainfall.
