Bunsen7: Track 3697 in area near Fair Mountain, Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Length: 7.4km, Creator time taken: 1h59m, Ascent: 304m,
Descent: 314m

Places: Start at O0750200092, Fair Mountain, Tomaneena, end at Start
Logged as completed by 2

Parked at Wicklow Gap and headed downhill along slippery concrete path to the first electricity pilon from where I easily crossed the streams but served to disturb a large herd of deer that scarpered up the hill.
Easy but wet climb to Fair Mtn across boggy typically Wicklow hillside with those mini boot-sized peat hags growing up that serve as stodgy stepping stones across wetter sections.
Headed thereafter across the very slight col towards Turlough hill and onwards to Tomaneena via the road.
Enjoyed view of the quarry and snow surrounded rock pools at the summit.
Considered continuing onwards to Camaderry south east in order to descend via Luganure (which looks like it would make a good loop) but given poor visibility above 600m I decided to go for the car and settle for another hill-bag close-by at Carrignagunneen.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 59m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
