Onzy: Track 3387 in area near Craig Lwyd, Dolgellau to Machynlleth (Britain)
Cadair Idris Circuit
Length: 14.7km, Creator time taken: 7h20m, Ascent: 1086m,
Descent: 1046m

Places: Start at SH73035 11607, Craig Lwyd, Craig Cwm Amarch, Mynydd Pencoed, Cyfrwy, Cadair Idris - Penygadair, Mynydd Moel, Mynydd Gwerngraig, Gau Graig, end at SH73414 11976 528m NE from Start
Logged as completed by 2
Route over Cadair Idris with a number of extensions. This descent is far from intuitive, largely untracked and involved a 150m descent of a gully as well as endless contouring over scree and rough ground. The normal circuit descends south from Mynydd Moel and I can see why.

To download GPS tracks you must be enrolled and logged in. See "Login or enrol", top right - quick and easy.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 45m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
