Eagle mountain and Shanlieve were the final hills on my Mournes 600m list! I had hoped for better weather given the descriptions on MV of the great views to be had from Eagle, however, cloud and mist were down to around 300m, so no views. I parked at the top of Sandy Brae with the warm permission of the local farmer. The ascent is rather handy, no very steep parts, no serious navigation.
Having completed the route, I made a (long) day of it by also climbing three county tops on my way back home to Limerick - Armagh, Meath and Westmeath. A great day!
