GSheehy: Track 3190 in area near Crohan West, Knockmealdown Mountains (Ireland)
Knockmealdown Loop (Goatenbridge)
Length: 20.1km, Creator time taken: 4h11m, Ascent: 888m,
Descent: 937m

Places: Start at S0798812152, Crohan West, Knockmeal, Knocknafallia, Knocknagnauv, Knockmealdown, end at Start
Logged as completed by 2

This is one of my favourite spins on the Knockmealdown's. There's about 1,100 gain/descent in it and it's pretty straightforward from a navigation point of view. The only place where you might need a map/compass, of a bad day, is getting from Knocknafallia to Knocknagnauv.

Picture was taken from Knockmealdown a while back. The 'dark' Sugarloaf in the foreground and the Galty's beyond.
Start is the trailhead at Goatenbridge and return is via Glenmoylan and the East Munster Way.

COMMENTS

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 30m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
