Track Rating ..
[RWD version 1 ] Route to Slieve Foye, its northwest top and The Eagles Rock from the south.

The new Arderin Beg listing has tempted me back to many areas that I have not visited in a while.  Carlingford is one such area and I had forgotten how prominent Slieve Foye is, how good the views are, and how satisfying a climb it is.  Previously I had climbed from Carlingford village, but on this occasion, I started from the south, where there is parking where the Tain Way meets the road.

This is probably the easiest and quickest route for an up and down to Slieve Foye - an hour easily reaches the summit; from here the rocky ridge stretches northwest, over the NW Top and Eagles Rock, and on, should you wish to Raven's and Foxes rocks.

Having achieved my objective of the two Arderin Begs, I descended southerly shortly after Eagles Rock, through the 'White Bog' (not particularly white, but definitely boggy) to a farm track and back to the car.
