thomas_g: Track 3052 in area near Rocky Mountain, Mourne Mountains (Ireland)
Tour of the Annalong Valley
Length: 20.1km, Creator time taken: 6h16m, Ascent: 1293m, Descent: 1288m
Places:Start at J3578122316, Rocky Mountain, Chimney Rock Mountain, Slieve Donard, Slieve Beg, Cove Mountain, Slievelamagan, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
This is a variation on a walk in the book 'Best walks in Ireland'. There is plenty of parking by the gates at the start of the walk, walking back down this road at the end of the walk is a nice cool down after a tough walk. Please note that this route crosses the Annalong river at the weir, it may not be possible to cross here after heavy rain. There is a foot bridge, but there is a deep stream between the path and the bridge so I chose to directly cross the river instead.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 6h 11m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
