conormcbandon: Track 3027 in area near Ballyhoura Mountains (Ireland)
An easily accessible summit on a looped walk
Length: 8.4km, Creator time taken: 18m36s, Ascent: 0m, Descent: 0m
Places:Start at R7214715952, end at R7034915707 1.8km W from Start Logged as completed by 1
I chose to follow the looped walk the promontary fort to the east of the main summit. The main summit is easily accesed of the trail and there is a visitors book still in the biscuit tin. Having a quick look through the 2015 diary there are many visitors to this hill. If youwere just interested in the summit itself itwould be easier to use the forestry entrance due north of the summit to reach the loop walk.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 41m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
