wicklore: Track 2968 in area near Keshcorran, Bricklieve/Curlew (Ireland)
The Caves of Kesh
Length: 5.0km, Creator time taken: 1h48m, Ascent: 284m, Descent: 280m
Places:Start at G7036212214, Keshcorran, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
An excellent walk that includes the magnificent Caves of Kesh. this route starts at a little lay by below Keshcorran with room for three cars. read my summit comment for Keshcorran to learn all about the history and folklore associated with this hill. Be careful on the steep slopes below the caves - when wet they will be very slippy! Also look forward to waist high heather nearer the summit. When coming back down I neared the top of the cliffs for a look but then turned back west to find an easier way down. If you follow my route please be exceptionally careful if you are above the cliffs housing the caves. Overall a tough little hill with a lot to think about.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 28m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
