Onzy: Track 2951 in area near Tawny Rower, Sheeffry Hills (Ireland)
Sheeffrys Traverse
Length: 16.8km, Creator time taken: 4h59m, Ascent: 958m,
Descent: 1007m

Places: Start at L9199069717, Tawny Rower, Tievnabinnia East Top, Tievnabinnia, Tievummera Trig, Tievummera Highpoint, Barrclashcame, Barrclashcame North-West Top, end at L8229269961 9.7km W from Start
Logged as completed by 2

Standard romp over the Sheefrys in good company on a lousy day.

It is worth noting the descent: there is a spur off Barrclashcame NW Top which leads directly west to our second car at c. L824 698. This is the spur used in track 2729. However, this spur is quite steep at the top, and we found a better (easier, at least!) descent by heading north from the top where a more gentle spur curves around onto lower ground and to the road north of the parking space.

COMMENTS
No comments uploaded yet.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 58m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
