I had first planned a similar route as Simoburn's PMG walk, before deciding, the night before the walk, to try and add a Baurtregaum-Caherconree return trip to it. As I stopped admiring the views from the saddle between those two, I finally decided to also add Gearhane, which I did not regret, despite the terrible weather conditions I then suddenly had to endure along Baurtregaum's NE ridge !! It all got slightly better as I reached Baurtregaum Far NE Top, and I even had a bit of sunshine on the hard-going descent to the Dingle Way and on the way back to the car. Great views from the E ridge, that become really stunning once you reach the higher tops.
