[RWD version 1 ] This was the first hill in an aborted Newlands Round; aborted because of wind. If I couldn't stand on Catbells 451m I was unlikely to safely make Dale Head at 753m. And I couldn't - it took me three attempts to pull the last 10 metres onto the summit...

The first day in a 3 day visit to the Lake District with the weather projected to remain the same sent me running for the maps and books to replan...
