Peter Walker: Track 2785 in area near Carn Hill, Sperrin Mountains (Ireland)
Carn Hill
Length: 3.1km, Creator time taken: 50m30s, Ascent: 94m, Descent: 99m
Places:Start at C7382508604, Carn Hill, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
The approach to Carn Hill
This is probably the quickest way up Carn Hill, the top of Boviel Road providing a lot of uplift and a clear line of sight to the objective (given good conditions). From here I made my way down to the col before picking up a fence which plods uphill before contouring the upper slopes with the summit a short distance E and easily gained by a short diversion. The going is not too bad by Sperrin standards.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 0h 47m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
