PMG Walk 63 - Sheefry Hills full of cloud! The forecast for the day seemed better or I got it wrong but I ended up spending the day with my head in the clouds (nothing new there I here you say ;)) Anyway I parked at the parking area at Doo Lough and walked the road for awhile as to gain the spur up Barrclashcame NW Top. From here the route was simple and I could imagine if the views had been there it would have been great. The walking seemed nice and once the height was gained you lost very little height going from summit to summit! I added in the summit of Tawnyard too which needed a river crossing from the way I came at it.The descent was very straight forward. I had intended to handrail the forest down to the road (see route), however the forest had been felled and instead I headed for the forest road (a little tricky) and it's connection right back to the road. The walk back to the car was rather long but the valley with all the water coming down from the many mountain streams on both sides is quite impressive! Sadly the only views were from Tawny Rower for a few minutes and from Tawnyard which gives great views to the Ben Gorm mountains!

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 7h 52m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
