I attempted this climb at the sign before the quarry as described. I found the path difficult to negotiate due to the foliage and stopped at a fallen tree that had partially knocked down the quarry fence. I reattempted the hill via the fields to the north east which was pretty easy - only one fence to be crossed. Frustrated at not being able to see the monastic ruins i reattempted to find them from the uphill side and still no luck. Keeping in mind the impending darkness, falling rain and proximty to the quarry face I felt safer to abandon my search and descended via the track with some bushwhacking and scratches.

Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 0h 36m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
