Trailtrekker: Track 2527 in area near Camaderry South East Top, Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Camaderry & Turlough Hill
Length: 12.2km, Creator time taken: 3h37m, Ascent: 578m,
Descent: 612m

Places: Start at T0997098166, Camaderry East Top, Camaderry Mountain, Tomaneena, end at Start
Logged as completed by 1

Starting out from the old lead works car park the route up Camaderry is pretty straight forward and none of the terrain is particularly bad (definitely not by Wicklow standards anyway!) On reaching the eastern side of the ridge (spot height 677M) there are well worn tracks to the summit proper and as far as fencing around the reservoir. From here it a case of skirting around the side of the fence before breaking out to try and locate the summit proper of Tomaneena! Then it is back down towards the reservoir and following the access road down to the Wicklow Gap car park. There are way markings here for St Kevins way, the track then follows this back for the next few km.

Warning: When the waymarking directs back towards the road I chose to try and navigate my way back without going back on to the road and this lead to getting two wet feet crossing the Glendassan river! Probably best to stick with the waymarkings!

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 3h 24m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
